This wave print dress is all you need for the holidays and beyond. I love tapping into the symbolic and ornamental iconography framed through the lens of black spirit, power, and dignity. Often when I see a textile, my memory works like an old school rotary slide projector and I see and feel the references that make a specific print resonate with me. It’s a thrilling experience and I’m fortunate I get to share it through the artistry of dress design. I like to keep my silhouettes clean so the wearer (and spectators) can feel the dynamism of the print. This visceral response is what makes OULA so fun!
