Happy New Year From Erika!
Hello OULA friends... It’s New Year's day as I write this, and I am cooking all the things; black-eyed peas, collard greens, cornbread, AND a bean pie—all the cultural traditions that make me warm inside. However, I am tired, so I’ve made myself a cocktail and am taking a small break to figure out how I can continue to do all the things I love without continuing to feel fatigued. 2021 was a transformative year for OULA. I’m so grateful to all of you and my dear family for the ongoing and unwavering support.
Thank you so much.
I dug deep into my reserves last year to meet the moment of OULA's success, and I realize that 2022 is going to require an even more elevated level of discipline and drive. How does one maintain an aura of calm when there is so much important work to do? How do we reframe the anxiety of what tomorrow may bring in a positive light? How does one do the impossible and maintain serenity? There seems to be so much volatility and uncertainty in the world. So, I encourage you (and myself!) to celebrate the achievements that make us happy, continue to delve into spiritual practices that feed you, make more time for yourself so you can hear your thoughts, and tap into your divine creativity.
